REBECCA RESTREPO, Elizabeth Arden's Global Makeup Artist Recommends:
“Start in the center of your lip and glide color to the outer corners, following the natural line of your mouth. Next, evenly fill in lips, using all angles of the bullet, for maximum conditioning benefits and long lasting wear."

Global Makeup Artist REBECCA RESTREPO, on creating the perfect red lip:“To find the right red for you, color the entire fingertip with a shade, then bring it up to your mouth to see if the red brightens your eyes and complexion. It should make your skin tone look vibrant and healthy, not sallow or ruddy.
To pull off a berry, plum or red shade during the day, keep the rest of your makeup neutral. Add only a pop of color on the cheeks and a flesh-toned eye shadow to balance the deep lip shade.
When wearing a bold lip shade, add a touch of blush and a few coats of mascara to create balance on the face.”
“For women who are not into the very vibrant lip look, I curated several shades of varying nudes for both skin and style. For pale skin, I love to use Beautiful Color Moisturizing Lipstick in Sunburst or Pale Petal (I used Pale Petal on Kelly Ripa). For medium skin, I love to use the Desert Rose or Breathless shades. (I’ve used Breathless, a natural shade that looks like your lips, but better, on Leona Lewis).
For olive and dark skin I love to use Fig or Mink. These are all colors I created for Elizabeth Arden’s Beautiful Color Lipstick line.
The best way to make sure colors stay on all day is to use a lip liner. It is an anchor for the lipstick, making sure it doesn’t move and give it that perfect polished look.”
